Amy Taylor has been a recognized artist since the age of 14 when she was awarded for her outstanding graphic artwork by Govenor General Jeanne Sauvé
Her art was on display in commemoration to mark the 350th anniversary of the founding of Ste. Marie Among the Hurons.
In her early years her artwork and graphic art has been featured in several published works and in community exhibitions. During high school she studied Design and Visual Arts at Georgian College of Applied Arts and Technology and then continued her education at Ryerson Polytechnic University in Fashion Design. Highly involved in her community she has continually volunteered her time in costume design working for small independent theatre and dance companies including designing costumes for Toronto’s Caribana.With almost 25 years of community work and artistic involvement, her abilities extend to photography, graphic design, water colour, acrylic and mixed media painting, illustration as well as costume and fashion design.
