This piece was created to explore the feeling of happiness. For myself, happiness is bittersweet. The vibrancy of  colours indicate this powerful emotion, however the butterflies indicate death or an ending. Nothing lasts forever, including the beautiful creation of butterflies which some species only live for up to 2 weeks. In life you have to find what makes us smile and appreciate the beauty in the world.
