Description
Steve Scarlet is a hard rock guitarist from Toronto who plays in T.O. bands ‘Cyclops 7666’ and ‘Voodoo Bunny’, and who has previously played in such notorious bands as ‘The Sinisters’ and ‘Drunkula’ (to name just a few). As well as being an accomplished guitar player and song writer, Scarlet’s other method of artistic expression is in the form of psychedelic watercolour paintings.
Many of the images he paints have been inspired by the sights and sounds of New Orleans, a city he has visited on many occasions. The city’s architecture, music scene and Voodoo culture are apparent in Scarlet’s use of vibrant colours and strange imagery, done in endless layers that create depth, drawing the viewer into another space.
