Mel Coleman’s body of work CONDOSCAPES explores the boom of condominiums in the GTA. These works call into question if the growth of condos at this exponential rate is a good idea or destined to crash? Toronto is one of the fastest growing cities in North America with 80% of the growth focusing on condominiums, often from offshore buyers. One must wonder if Toronto is creating a new and improved identity for itself? Or is it demolishing its history to make room for yet another shoebox condo?
