Today we began construction of what we hope will be a great space. Our objectives are to create a space that can as flexible as possible for our members uses and still meet client needs. The plan is to create a massive studio area with a 29×17 foot cyclorama. The studio will be away from the street to minimize light and sound penetration. To reinforce this concept we plan to build 2 sound insulating walls from floor to ceiling. The first of these 2 wallss, will span the entire space creating a display area in the front, it will also double as a sound trap. The second wall will span half way across the space at the centre. This wall will be the 17foot portion of the cyclorama. To ensure the cyclorama is as straight as possible we will also create a new wall against the existing side wall. More to come.
